The Michigan State Capitol is located in Lansing.
It is the state capitol building of the U.S. state of Michigan. The Capitol is located in downtown Lansing, on Capitol Avenue at the corner of Michigan Avenue. It houses the chambers of the Michigan Legislature, as well as the office of the Governor of Michigan.
The Capitol was designed by Elijah E. Myers and completed in 1879. The building is made of brick faced with marble and granite, and it features a central rotunda that is capped with a copper-clad dome. The exterior brickwork contains many different colors, due to changes in brick production over time; this is most visible on the north side of the building near the ground level.
The Capitol grounds include several monuments, including a statue of former governor Austin Blair and a monument to Civil War veterans. The Capitol grounds also feature several fountains, including one that commemorates women’s suffrage in Michigan (which was granted in 1918).

They are based in Lansing, and their home games are played at Cooley Law School Stadium. The Lugnuts are affiliated with the Toronto Blue Jays. The Lugnuts began play in 1996 as an expansion team.
They have won two Midwest League championships, in 2005 and 2007. The team has also been named the Minor League Team of the Year by Baseball America twice, in 2002 and 2006. Cooley Law School Stadium is located downtown, near the state Capitol building.
The stadium seats 9,500 fans and features a grass berm in left field where fans can sit on the grass and watch the game. There is also a playground for kids and a picnic area behind the outfield fence.
