Mansel Carter Oasis Park is home to more than 48 acres of fun. This playground is complete with a shipwreck-themed splash pad.
There is also a five-acre fishing lake complete with rainbow trout, largemouth bass, channel catfish, and sunfish. In addition, there are four lighted baseball fields and several other multi-purpose fields.
This park is ideal for families with younger children. The sand pit is down a hill from the playground. There is a big boulder with a water feature, which makes it perfect for sandcastle-building.
A water play area offers shade. Another outdoor feature is the lake, which is home to a fishing line bin. Kids can spend a fun afternoon in the lake, and there is also a playground and splash pad for the little ones.
You can also visit the Pioneer Community Park for outdoor play. There is a splash pad and a baseball field there, and there are many walking trails to explore.

This nature park is located on the southern slope of the Superstition Wilderness Area and has a history as old as the city itself. In 1993, concerned residents formed the Superstition Area Land Trust to preserve AZ State Trust Lands.
In cooperation with the Apache Junction Parks and Recreation Department, the Superstition Area Land Trust successfully restored and revitalized Silly Mountain. In addition to fixing the screen scar, it was also planted with regional grasses and restored the park’s natural habitat.
The park also features nine new hiking trails that are fun for the whole family. Make sure to check it out.

This outdoor city aquatics center has everything from a water slide to an Olympic-sized competition pool. There are even shaded seats, so you can swim during the hot day and enjoy the scenery while your kids play. It’s also a good place to catch a game of basketball while watching your kids play.
The Skyline Aquatic Center is open daily from noon to 5 p.m. It’s a great place to cool off in the summertime, with open swim hours every day from noon to 5 p.m.
There are also teen splash nights on Wednesday nights from May 25 to Aug. 26. These events are free, and you can even get a free hot dog.
Visiting during Memorial Day weekend is an added bonus because all attendees will receive half off their admission fee if they wear patriotic colors.

There are many hikes and trails in Lost Dutchman State Park. One of the best hikes is the Siphon Draw Trailhead, which leads to the famous Flatiron.
Another popular hike is the Treasure Loop Trail, which is famous for its unique rock formations and wildflowers. This hike is not for the faint of heart, as some of the terrains are steep and technical.

But there are a few more things to see and do in Goldfield Ghost Town, including an Ice Cream Parlor and the Church on the Mount, a 24 x 36 ft. building with room for 132 people.
While the Ghost Town is not open on Mondays, there are regular Sunday services, and you can visit the Tomb of the Unknown Prospector if you’re traveling on a weekday.
